II Gameplay
FootballTD is not really a game you can win. It's a platform to fantasize about your favorite club. See it as your personal notebook for transfers and lineups. The only competitive element is the reputation you can build as TD. More rep gets you higher in the ranking.
A lot of football fans have ideas (know best 😉) about the squad and lineup of their favorite club. FootballTD helps to organize these ideas and keep them up-to-date, by processing real-life transfers into your squad. There is no spending limit and even legends from the past can be signed to build your dream team, but keeping it realistic is probably more interesting for others and increases your reputation.
How it works:
- Become a TD. Take control of your favorite club and start with the current real-life squad.
- Anticipate on players leaving, running out of contract, probably to be sold or you want to sell.
- Scout players, add them to your shortlist, and sign them for your squad for next season.
- Create lineups for the next match and next season. The latter including your transfers.
- Real-life transfers will be processed into your squad. Always in sync with the real world.
- Your reputation will grow and might get noticed by friends, fans and professionals.
Like Football Manager without simulation, always in sync with the real world.
On your club page check out the '?' in the top left corner of the squad table to learn about the colors.
Try out to sell a player, sign a player and scout a player. You can always undo any of your actions.
To stay relevant, try to keep your lineup for next season up-to-date. For example monthly or bimonthly.
Share FootballTD with your friends, find and follow each other or deal some kudos and see your reputation grow.

II Technical Director
A director of football/soccer, sporting director or technical director (TD), is a senior management figure at a football club. Often, their key task is managing transfers of players to and from the team. However, the nature of the position varies, and their role at a particular club may be more specialized.
The TD is, in many cases, a member of the executive board and therefore an executive director. The TD is usually directly subordinate to the CEO or the chairman of the sports organization. The TD is in turn typically the manager of the coaching staff.

II Transfer windows
There are two transfer windows per season:
- Two months from July to end of August (pre-season).
- The month of January (mid-season).
Real-life new signings will lose their 'new' status (green player name) on October 1st and March 1st, one month after each transfer window. At that same moment players who left (red player name) will be removed from your squad. We think this is a good moment to forget about the previous transfers, evaluate how your club and players are performing, and start preparing for the next transfer window.
